WEST MILFORD NEWCOMERS CLUB NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 2008
JANUARY MESSAGE: I always look forward to the start of a new year. I think of it as a clean slate and I always expect the best from it. No matter what happened in the preceding year, I’m always optimistic on January 1st. Great things are happening for the Club this year too. Our membership continues to increase, we have wonderful programs planned and our members are outdoing themselves in helping each other. I'm so proud to be part of this wonderful organization! Hope you will join us in January and help us make this year the best ever!
Merrilee McKittrick, Editor
JANUARY MEETING: Our January meeting will be held Tuesday, January 8th, at the West Milford Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall with social time starting at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting beginning at 10 a.m. Babysitting is provided on the premises for $5 per family. Please pack snacks and drinks for your own children.
If you want some direction in planning your new year, be sure to come to our January meeting to hear our speaker. Kathy Biehl is an astrologer, Tarot master and attorney (really!) whose career has bridged the rational mind and intuition for more than 20 years. She writes the extended monthly horoscopes for TheCosmicPath.com and produces customized Family Dynamics books with astrological information about a family's members and pets. She will be talking about the changes and opportunities we can expect from the big astrological trends of 2008 and will also help us set some new year's goals to make the most of what's coming. Coincidentally (or maybe not), the day of the meeting is on a new moon that plays an important role in these trends.
Refreshments will be provided by Blanche DeSimone and Lynne Ciccarelli.
Please remember that if the schools are closed or delay opening this meeting is cancelled but we will have the meeting the following Tuesday at the same time and place.
CONGRATULATIONS to Maria and Andreas Eriksson on the birth of their son, Alexander Stevens Anders, on December 8th, weighing 6 lbs. 14 oz. at 19-3/4 inches. He joins his big brother Mattias.
HAPPY JANUARY BIRTHDAYS TO: Blanche DeSimone – 1/18, Pauline Docwra – 1/31, Rosemary Martin – 1/4, Doris Rupp – 1/19, Cyndy Taylor – 1/21 and Sara Van Goor – 1/5.
