FEBRUARY MEETING
Members of the West Milford Heritage Quilters club will be guests at our next meeting, Tuesday, February 9th, at the West Milford Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. They will exhibit some of their personal quilts and quilting projects and talk about them. Come to our hospitality coffee get-together at 9:30 AM to meet and greet this fun-loving group of talented quilters.
According to Ardeth Wurdemann, the West Milford Heritage Quilters club was formed 22 years ago and consists today of 55 members. The club meets in the Macopin school library the third Friday of each month. The members are frequently involved in making quilts for group projects; such as, quilts for the benefit of breast cancer patients; Quilts of Valor (for injured members of the military); and quilts for Heal the Children (for non-profit agencies that perform surgery on children throughout the world). The members also made and donated a quilt to the Friends of Long Pond Ironworks as a fundraiser and made the beautiful quilt that hangs in the West Milford Township’s museum.
Baby-sitting is provided on the premises for $5 per family. Please pack snacks and drinks for your own children.
Refreshments for the February meeting will be provided by Linda Bayer, Delores LaRusso and Julia Held.
Julia Held, First Vice President
